Features and Pricing:

ServerProntos range of servers is quite expansive. Their AMD and Intel Starters both feature 40GB hard drives, 256MB RAM and 200GB of bandwidth for only $29.95 a month plus a $69 setup fee. They are Linux based and offer popular choices such as Ubuntu and Fedora Core. Windows is also available starting at an additional $18 a month. All the servers come with Webmin control panel and every one of their plans is fully scalable to meet and growing demands. For those not familiar with Webmin, the more popular Plesk and Cpanel are also available starting at an additional $40 a month.

For those who require more horse power than what is offered in the starter package, ServerPronto offers 6 other plans which are capable of meeting anyone’s needs. Need help deciding, ServerPronto’s friendly and knowledgeable sales staff will help you find the plan that is best suited to you.

Service and Support:

ServerPronto offers a sales hot line but there is no customer service hot line. They handle all customer service related issues via email and ticketing. While not the most efficient way in my humble opinion, their email system is reliable and expect prompt, detailed, and helpful responses. The servers themselves are very reliable and in my experience I have not had any problems.

Conclusions:

• Pros: Pricing is unbeatable, established company; plans are very comprehensive and can fill almost any need. Email system is very reliable. Servers are top of the line in performance and reliability. No long term commitments, all services can be canceled with only 30 days written notice.
• Cons: No tech phone line!!!!, adding to the basic package (or any of their packages) which is essentially a proverbial skeleton starts to get costly

I operate a growing home business and it came to the point where shared virtual hosting was no longer going to cut it. It was time to get a dedicated server. I recently switched over to ServerPronto, and I was very pleased with the switch. I have 10 times the bandwidth, and 10 times the storage space for the same price as my most recent host and for the same price. Not only that, but my site is much faster now because my last host was a shared server. I have so many more options and capabilities now with a ServerPronto server. With my old host, I couldn’t dream of doing half the stuff I can do now, or at least without horrible speeds or having to pay some outrageous price. Streaming video/audio used to kill my site, since I’ve switched, it runs just as fast with absolutely no delays. ServerPronto’s scalability options are great too. In the event that my site grows, I can upgrade plans and/or purchase parts at anytime to suit my needs, and at no extra fee. Good work ServerPronto, I’ll be using your servers for the years to come.

ServerPronto is a great value. A lot of hosts I investigated charged from $60 to even $100 for a dedicated server of comparable memory and bandwidth. Not only did they charge more but they could only guarantee around 95% uptime, where as ServerPronto offered 99.999% uptime. 5% may not seem like much, but when you consider that I need my site up 24/7 that adds up to days of downtime. So cheaper price, less downtime, the choice was obvious, ServerPronto was for me. I was enticed by all this, but to my further surprise I found there was no long term contract obligation for the server. In the event that I close down my site I wouldn’t have to keep paying for a server I didn’t use. As of today, I still use ServerPronto and I don’t regret my descion at all. I get great service, reliability, and performance all for a low price and no contractual obligation. I recommend ServerPronto to anyone looking for affordable and effective hosting.

I really liked ServerPronto’s email customer response system. I simply mailed in with my problem, and was given a quick and straight to the point response. Unlike those telephone help lines, you don’t have to cancel your plans and spend an eternity going through sub-menus or being put on hold for indefinite periods of time. They also take time to answer your question with a real answer, not standardized answers that you find on many of those automated lines. The technicians at ServerPronto are also very highly trained. They break things down into easy to follow steps and guide you through the process. They don’t simply fill their answers with lots of technical terms and other “mumbo-jumbo” as many of these companies are infamous for. I want to thank the people at ServerPronto for their hard work, and maybe you guys can teach your competitors how to treat their customers.

I was looking for a “.com” site to make my up and coming home business seem more professional. A friend recommended ServerPronto and within a day I already had my site up and running. Their swift professional service almost overwhelmed me. Previous hosts I had tried made me wait literally hours on the phone just to verify my account. Some of the previous hosts didn’t even offer linux based OSes. (i.e. Redhat, or Ubuntu) Also, SeverProntos 99.999% uptime guarantee was a big thing for me. I would hate to lose a sale simply because my customers weren’t able to utilize my site. Not only would it be un-profitable for me to lose sales, but to lose sales for such a silly reason is ridiculous. I think that service is important in all aspects, customer relations, sales, performance, etc… ServerPronto has delivered on all those fronts. Hopefully they will continue to do so, and I can establish a long business relation with them.

Rating:

I signed up for ServerPronto a few weeks ago. I have not had any problems so far. There has been no downtime and the sites load quickly. I was also surprised at all the bandwidth and storage space I was afforded, especially since I signed up for one of their “Starter” packages. It had more than enough power to meet my needs. There were a few problems I had loading scripts but with their convenient email ticket system, I was able to fix the problem in less than a few hours, and the best part is that I didn’t have to look far for the answer, or call one of those irritating tech service lines.(no one likes calling those)
ServerPronto’s pricing is also very competitive. I pay only $30 a month for my own server, previous hosts would charge me that much just to run my site on a shared server. I can confidently say that I am fully satisfied by the excellent service I have been provided with, and with such a low price, it would be stupid to go anywhere else.
